A 29-year-old Transgender woman beat a 13-year-old girl

Ricci Tres won the competition.

A 29-year-old Transgender woman beat a 13-year-old girl to take home the top prize in a skateboarding contest in New York City, reigniting the debate over whether new inclusivity pushes to create an unfair advantage in women's sports.

Ricci Tres, from Los Angeles, who was born a man and identifies as a woman, won The women's division of The  Boardr Open Skateboarding Competition and a $500 prize, with 13-year-old Shiloh Catori, from Florida, coming in second and taking a $250 prize. There were six competitors and Tres was the eldest while four of them were under the age of 17 and the youngest being 10.

Shiloh who won this competition a year ago when she was just 12 years old conceded the defeat and said that there were no hard feelings whatsoever. In a video released, Shiloh claimed that she's not all upset about the results. 'Skateboarding is a wonderful sport - we accept and love everyone no matter how they choose to be identified. We're not judgmental people,' she said.

Shiloh Catori came second

At the University of Akron's Zippy invitation, Transgender Lia Thomas student at the University of Pennsylvania who is a swimmer last year in December came into the spotlight. Prior to the competition, he was competing for the men's team before switching to the women's team. Thomas set new Penn, pool, and meet records. He won the 1650 freestyle by 38 seconds, the 500 freestyle by 12 seconds, and the 200 by 7 seconds.
