It looks like the Marvel franchise is about to make history with a new LGBTQ+ Spider-Man. Marvel recently unveiled the details of Edge of Spider-Verse #5 which is going to be released in September.

Created by novelist and cartoon writer Steve Foxe who worked on X-Men ’92: House of XCII, Rainbow Bridge, Archer & Armstrong Forever written onto his Twitter account. "Something I realized immediately when conceiving Web-Weaver is that he can't -- and shouldn't -- represent ALL gay men," Foxe posted. "No single character can. His fearless femme identity is central to who he is, but it's not the STORY...which you can experience for yourself in September!"
This news has created mixed feelings across the world, Patrick wasn't bothered at all, we quote him, "I don't mind a gay spiderman, but does he really have to look like a drag queen? Apparently, Marvel still has to realize that gay people are normal human beings" he said.
"Genuinely couldn't give a shit. It's like telling me there's gonna be a spiderman who collects trading cards or upcoming spiderman likes pizza a lot. cool hope it isn't trash but really couldn't give a f**k what he's into" Sharon reluctantly told us.
Charles was not impressed with marvel's move, "They are running out of characters to turn gay, it's a cheap marketing trick that yields less and fewer returns"
Isma who was initially hesitant to comment to us was so disgusted "Honestly this sh*t doesn't even trigger me anymore, I just find it phony, lazy, and pathetic"
Edge of Spider-Verse #5 contains five (5) series from Slott, Mark Bagley. Each issue contains three separate stories featuring fans' favorite Spider-Man variants, including Spider-Ham, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Mobile, and more. The series also introduces a handful of new variants alongside Web-Weaver, including Kraven the Hunter's "Hunter-Spider," a web-slinging Tyrannosaurus Rex, Felicia Hardy/Black Cat's new Night-Spider Pasona, and more. The five issues of Edge of Spide Verse will build to an epic finale, The End of the Spider-Verse, which Marvel will release later this year.
